Are you looking for a holiday gift, a token for your child’s teacher, a birthday gift for a loved one, or a way to show someone that you care for them? If so, please visit our online catalog and do some shopping! We will send a card on your behalf to the person to whom you are gifting, letting them know that you not only care for them, but that you’ve also given something life-changing to a child.
AFCA supports efficient and sustainable programs that promote self-reliance for children infected and/or affected by AIDS, as well as their families and caregivers. We work in regions that are underserved and marginalized, providing care that is measurable, real and hope-filled.
Would you like to travel to another country and experience a different way of living while working hand in hand with a community? Live Below the Line is a global fundraiser through the Global Poverty Project. It's a challenging and meaningful experience that’s about more than hunger: it’s about the lack of choice and opportunity faced by people living in extreme poverty around the world, including the children AFCA serves, who are infected and/or affected by AIDS.
From April 27 – May 1, 2015, participants will spend only $1.50 (the equivalent of the extreme poverty line) per day on food and drink for 5 days in order to help those who face hunger and to empathize with those who lack food.
Have you ever thought about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Hike to the ‘Roof of Africa’ for a life-changing experience with breath-taking views and priceless memories? And what’s even more life-changing is that you will raise awareness of the critical need for medicine for children with HIV/AIDS living in sub-Saharan Africa and offer a unique means to raise funds to support AFCA’s mission.
We’re looking for climbers to join our team that will be travelling February 4 - 15, 2016. It’s a great time of year to go, as it is dry and a little warmer on the mountain and great Serengeti safari time.
Each climber raises $8,000 with approximately $5,500 going directly to AFCA’s programs. With medicine costing roughly $1 per day for one child, each climber makes a huge impact providing medicine for many children.
