AFCA has partnered with eBay and is thrilled with the ways that we can make the most of eBay’s programs for non-profit organizations.  There are three ways that you can help us through eBay:

• Sell items on eBay and donate a percentage of your sales to AFCA

• Buy items on eBay that are designated to give profits to AFCA

• Donate items that we can use to sell on eBay

Sell items on eBay

eBay Giving Works listings stand out with the eBay Giving Works ribbon , and donation information is displayed in the item description, instilling buyer confidence and trust. Plus, nonprofit listings receive additional visibility through specialized search functionality. So, eBay Giving Works listings on average sell more often with more bids and at higher final prices. And, you receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

Here’s how you can sell your items on eBay and donate a percentage of your sales to American Foundation for Children with AIDS:

1. Click the "Sell" button on eBay's site to begin selling on behalf of AFCA.
2. In order to sell, you will need to be a registered seller on eBay. Sign in with your eBay User ID and password.
3. Using eBay's category picker, choose which category (or categories) best describes the item you are trying to sell.
4. Make your listing stand out! Create a title and item description that explains your listing as accurately as possible.
5. On the "Create Your Listing" page, you’ll come to a sub-section labeled “Choose how you’d like to sell your item”.  If you choose “select a new non-profit”, eBay will launch the charity search tool.  This will allow you to search for and choose American Foundation for Children with AIDS.
6. Create a Seller account on the MissionFish site, if you haven't done so already. It's quick, simple, and free! MissionFish is the nonprofit arm of eBay.
7. You can then return to your eBay page and continue with your listing.  Decide how much of the proceeds which you would like to donate. You can donate anywhere from 10%-100%.
8. You’ll then decide where you are willing to ship your item, and what payment options you prefer.
9. Review what you have entered, edit or make any changes necessary, and submit your eBay for Charity listing!

Buy items on eBay

When you buy items marked with the charity icon , part or all of your purchase will support a certified nonprofit. Donate items that we can use to sell on eBay

Rather than selling items personally on eBay, many people prefer to simply donate their items to us and let us take care of the listings on eBay.  We have two locations in the Harrisburg, PA area for donations.  If you’d like to donate your items, you may contact Sarah Ladner, our eBay Manager.  You can email Sarah at sladner@helpchildrenwithaids.org
